Love to go to faire with those of like mind. I've got the travel bug, and enjoy seeing the world.
Music
Learne to play spanish and classical guitar, though since the death of my best friend Iain in 2008, I've not touched the guitar at all. He and I often played and sang together, mostly Scottish and Irish folk songs, some rock, and lots of laughter.
As to music I enjoy, I'm a fan of most types of music, from Rock to Classical. I love to sing along, and spend lots of time doing so.
Movies
Anything Arthurian, even Monty Python's Holy Grail appeals. I'm more of a romantic comedy fan, but enjoy just about anything except gory movies. Blood and pain makes me cry, so I avoid it whenever possible.
TV
Dr. Who with David Tennant and now with Matt Smith are my current hearthrobs. As always, I am a devoted fan of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International. Cartoons are fun to watch, especially The Misadventures of Flapjack, Chowder and all sorts of silliness. I've watched more tv in the last year than probably for the last 10 years or more.
Books
Historical romances are my forte. I tend to enjoy a good love story. Currently reading The Picture of Dorian Grey by another crazy Irishman, Oscar Wilde.
Likes
I like to laugh. I take most situations and make them into something that amuses me. I'm a bit of an actress at heart and so I enjoy playing around with role playing games - though since the death of my partner, I prefer to watch from the sidelines these days, rather than participate wholeheartedly.
Dislikes
Probably too numerous to list, although I guess my biggest dislike is people who are too self absorbed to know that there are others who exist around them. I will not waste my time with someone who lies to me. Once I find out, I'm gone.
Hobbies
Sewing, playing games, scrapbooking, playing on the computer, traveling around the world.
Vices
I've got a sweet tooth that just won't quit. My daughter made me a birthday cake, and I was happy with the excess frosting. Who needs cake?
Virtues
I'm a loyal friend, as long as the friend is also loyal. I'm very picky about whom I befriend, having found out the hard way that some people are only interested in themselves, and care not what happens to those who are loyal to them. I cannot tolerate disloyalty or lies.
Heroes
My father is my greatest hero. He gave me a good life and protected me as much as possible from bad things - like my mother!
